coolamon house, named after the monumental tree of the same name on site, is an exploration of the daily rituals and habits of a young family.
paying homage to the existing 'timber getter's' cottage on site - the new pavilion is largely constructed of australian hardwoods and designed to a strict structural rythym to minimise off-cuts and wastage.
deep eaves and floating verandahs allow for an intimate yet comfortable connection to 'place'.
